Motto (motto) ANDALUCÍA POR SÍ, PARA ESPAÑA Y LA HUMANIDAD

The coat of arms of Andalusia , a Spanish administrative unit , shows the mythical figure of Heracles between the columns of Heracles . As a cloak he wears the skin of the Nemean lion around his shoulders. Two golden lions join to the right and left at his feet . The columns are bridged by a green-edged white arch with the Latin motto in gold inscription: "DOMINATOR HERCULES FUNDATOR" (German: "Ruler Hercules the Founder").

In the gold-framed green pedestal with silver bars is the three-line golden Spanish inscription "ANDALUCÍA POR SÍ, PARA ESPAÑA Y LA HUMANIDAD" (German: "Andalusia for itself, for Spain and humanity").
