Victoria Coat of Arms

The coat of arms of Victoria , a federal state of Australia , shows the silver constellation Cross of the South in the blue shield .

On the shield rests a toad head helmet turned to the right with blue and white helmet covers . A naturally colored brown kangaroo grows out of the helmet bulge of the same color and holds the royal crown.

Sign holders are two women in long white robes, facing the viewer, standing on a lawn. The Right (for Peace) wears a blue hood and a blue scarf holding a green olive branch over her shoulder; the left (for prosperity) holding these pieces in red and a cornucopia.

Under the sign in blue capitals on a white ribbon, the words "Peace and Prosperity" ( peace and prosperity ).

The coat of arms was officially introduced by King George V of the United Kingdom on June 6, 1910 . It is known to a large extent since 1877. The crown ( St. Edward's Crown ) in the paws of the kangaroo was confirmed again on March 28, 1973 by Queen Elizabeth II .
