The coat of arms of the Cocos Islands , a group of islands in the Indian Ocean and an Australian outer area , is square in blue and silver .

In fields one and four each a silver fish placed at an angle, facing it, and in the other fields a brown bird. A black uppercase letter "Z" above the cross . A red and white crest with a natural red rose in the natural right hand hovers over the shield . Two palm trees to the sides of the shield stand on a green background.

The motto “MAJU PULU KITA” is written under the sign on a gold ribbon in black capital letters.
