The coat of arms of the Cook Islands has been considered the official coat of arms of the Cook Islands in this form since 1978.

Description : In the blue shield, a circle of 15 silver five-pointed stars. The stars represent the 15 islands that make up the Cook Islands. A chief's crown made of red feathers rests above the shield in a green and gold headband.

Behind the shield, a red paddle and an equally colored stalked common cross cross . The paddle points heraldically to the right.

Sign holders are right a blue-winged silver fish , left a golden flying tern .

Under the shield is a tape on which the name of the state, Cook Islands ( Eng. , "Cook Islands", after the seafarer James Cook ) is.
