Warda al-Jaza'iriya ( Arabic وردة الجزائرية, DMG Warda al-Ǧazāʾirīya  'Warda, the Algerian', also transcribed as Al-Jazairia ; * July 22, 1939 in Puteaux near Paris ; † May 17, 2012 in Cairo ), usually simply called Warda ("Rose"), was an Algerian singer. She was considered one of the most famous interpreters of Arabic music .

Warda was the daughter of an Algerian and a Lebanese who had emigrated to France .

She also acted in feature films.

Warda died of a heart attack in May 2012 at the age of 72.
