Wardle Entrance is a strait in the Pitt Islands group in the West Antarctic Biscoe Islands archipelago . It forms the entrance from the Grandidier Canal to Johannessen Harbor and separates Snodgrass Island from Weller Island .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped them using aerial photographs from Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after Mr. Wardle, a character from the serial novel The Pickwickier (1836-1837) by the British writer Charles Dickens .
