What does not fit is made to fit is a German television series that was broadcast between 2003 and 2007. It is based on the movie of the same name by Peter Thorwarth .

action

The construction workers Kalle, Jochen and Kümmel work for their boss Gerda Wiesenkamp on a construction site. Since the three of them always have other things on their minds than work, conflicts with their boss are inevitable. They don't take building regulations too seriously, according to the motto What doesn't fit is made to fit . They are joined by Oppa Funke, who has long since retired, but is constantly looking for a job himself. The men also receive regular visits from Jochen's daughter Martina, who turns the men's heads.

Characters

Karl-Heinz 'Kalle' Langmann

Kalle is a construction worker with body and soul. As a choleric , he is constantly mixing up the construction site and his colleagues. With his boundless self-confidence, he even throws himself at his boss Gerda.

Jochen Kowalski

Jochen is the foreman on the construction site and is therefore responsible for the team. His ability to not make decisions inevitably creates problems. Further problems arise from the fact that his daughter "Engelchen" Martina has meanwhile grown up. Not easy for a single father.

Mehmet 'Caraway' Izlut

In contrast to Kalle and Jochen, Mehmet is a calm and level-headed contemporary. As a “second” generation Turk, he has both cultures in his blood. Mehmet is the troop's magazine. His activity is limited to a half-full tool case and the jackhammer.

Hans-Wilhelm 'Oppa' Funke

Oppa is completely hard of hearing, which means that they only hear what they want to hear. He has long since retired, but that doesn't stop him from making the construction site unsafe.

Gerda Wiesenkamp

Gerda is the boss of the construction crew and also keeps the boys pretty busy.

Martina Kowalski

Jochen's daughter Martina is a pretty blonde who knows exactly how to wrap men around her finger. That works for her father too.

background

The directors of the series were Christian Zübert , Matthias Lehmann , Lutz Winde , Sophie Allet-Coche and Dominic Müller . Peter Thorwarth wrote two episodes for the series under a pseudonym and plays a supporting role in the first episode. Except for Ralf Richter , none of the main characters from the film take on a role in the series.

Awards

The series won no prizes, but was nominated for the German Comedy Prize in 2004 in two categories . On the one hand, this was true for Ralf Richter as the best actor in a comedy , and on the other hand, the producers for the production of the best comedy series .

useful information

The title melody was provided by the German rock band Die Schröders .
