The Dietfurt hydropower plant of Rhein-Main-Donau AG is located in the Altmühl near the Töging district of the city of Dietfurt an der Altmühl in the Neumarkt district in the Upper Palatinate .
In 1991 the power plant went into operation. Its operational management lies with Uniper Kraftwerke GmbH . The only turbine with an electrical output of 510 kilowatts is housed in the power house on the left side of the Altmühl . There are two weir fields on the right bank . The standard work capacity is 3.2 million kilowatt hours per year. The owner specifies the drop height of the power plant as 4.3 meters. Maps from the Land Surveying Office show the level of the upper water at 359 m above sea level. NN at. The underwater level corresponds to the level of the Riedenburg dam of the Main-Danube Canal , i.e. 355 m above sea level. NN .
