The building with the postal address Wasserstraße 72 is a listed building in the Wasserstraße in Stralsund .
The three-storey , four-axle front building of the deep development between Wasserstraße and Am Fischmarkt was built in 1867. The fifth, northern axis is set far back.
The plastered facade is very elaborately designed. The windows on the two upper floors are strongly suspected . A stucco ornament is designed under the eaves .
The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 794.
The associated back building with the address Am Fischmarkt 4 consists of two wings. The single-storey south wing stands on a high base and is very simply designed. The two-story north wing, on the other hand, has a very rich design: a wide bay window on the first floor, framed by fluted columns, characterizes the facade. The second floor has a window flanked by double pilasters , which is emphasized by a strong arched roof with stucco ornaments.
