The Groß Lafferde water tower is an industrial monument of the municipality of Ilsede ( Peine district ) in Lower Saxony and the landmark of the village of Groß Lafferde .

The 30.78 meter high water tower is centrally located in Groß Lafferde on the corner of Marktstrasse and Klagesstrasse. Its outside diameter is 7.86 m. The water tank in the top of the tower has a capacity of 150 m³.

After a construction period from 1911 to 1913, the water supply was started in 1914; The water tower was in operation until 1954. The tower, a gift from the commercial councilor Friedrich Eduard Behrens , who was born in Groß Lafferde , cost 23,000 marks including the entire system  .

With a large amount of donations and the active help of the residents, the Heimat- und Kulturverein Groß Lafferde e. V. in the water tower in 1995 a conversion through the establishment of the local museum.
