The Wassgöttergraben , also known as the Wassergötterbach , is a 1.1 km long left tributary of the Kainach in Styria .

The Wassgöttergraben is being created in the eastern part of the municipality of Kainach near Voitsberg , in the northern part of the Kohlschwarz cadastral municipality , on the western slope of the Kohlschwarzkogel about 200 meters west of the summit, southeast of the Wassgötter farm. It flows first in a left curve, then in a flat right and left curve and then again in a left curve and a flat right curve all in all to the west. In the north of the Kohlschwarz cadastral community, it flows south of the main town of Kainach near Voitsberg, southwest of the Lind inn and about 50 meters west of the L341 into the Kainach , which then turns slightly to the right. The Wassgöttergraben does not receive any other watercourses along its course.

Flood events

Due to a heavy thunderstorm with hail on July 24, 2016, the Wassgöttergraben and several other streams in the vicinity overflowed its banks and caused severe damage to the surrounding infrastructure, such as roads.
