Vasily Alexandrowitsch Mossin ( Russian Василий Александрович Мосин ; born May 9, 1972 in Kazan , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian sports shooter in the double trap .

successes

Vasily Mossin, who starts for Dynamo Kazan, has so far participated in four Olympic Games . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens he finished 19th and in 2008 in Beijing 14th place. Four years later he qualified second for the final in London with 140 points . He finished this as well as Fehaid Al-Deehani with 145 points in third place, so that both had to jump off for the bronze medal. In contrast to Mossin, Al-Deehani missed the second goal, with which bronze went to the Russian. He finished the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro in 13th place.

In 2015 Mossin became individual world champion in Lonato del Garda and won the silver medal with the team. In 2010 in Munich he was second in both competitions, as well as in 2011 in Belgrade with the team and in 2013 in Lima in the individual. In 2006 in Zagreb and 2017 in Moscow he won bronze with the team. In the individual Mossin was five times European champion. At the 2015 European Games in Baku, he finished twelfth.

Mossin is a doctor by profession. He is married and has three children.
