Vasily Vladimirovich Khmelevsky
Vasily Vladimirovich Chmelewski ( Russian Василий Владимирович Хмелевский ., English transcription Vasiliy Khmelevskiy * 14. January 1948 in Mikalaikowtschschina , Grodno Region , Byelorussian SSR , † 2002 ) was a Soviet hammer thrower .
In 1970 he won silver at the Universiade .
At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he won the bronze medal with 74.04 m behind his compatriot Anatolij Bondartschuk (75.50 m) and Jochen Sachse from the GDR (74.96 m).
He set his best performance of 74.98 m on July 8, 1975 in Minsk .
