Watch Me Burn is a grindcore - band from Los Angeles , USA .
history
The band was founded in 2000 by alternative model Sarah June Remetch and ex- Fetus Eaters guitarist Kevin Bernier. In the same year the 3-track demo Watch Me Burn was released and shortly afterwards the debut album of the same name. A year later they released a split CD with the experimental grindcore band Godstomper under the title Nihilo Sanctum Este . In the following years two more split CDs were released with the deathgrind band Fetus Eaters and the porn and goregrind band Spermblast . In 2005 the EP Wolf that Ate the Sun was released as a pre-release single for the album At the Stake . In the same year they released the split CD Yaminabe Holocaust with the Japanese doom metal band dot (.) Under the label Lost River Product . In 2007 the band released their second and final album, At the Stake . Shortly after the band produced their second studio album, the breakup was announced. In 2013, the German indie label Tu Not Gut re-released the 2007 album At the Stake .
In August 2017 there was a reunion of the band, with the release of the limited eponymous EP (Watch Me Burn) at the Psycho Las Vegas Festival on August 26, 2017 on CD and as a download via Bandcamp . After their comeback after a 9 year hiatus, the band had their first gig on November 3, 2017, in the 5 Star Bar in downtown Los Angeles.
With front woman and singer Sarah June Remetch, the band owns the first woman to make a name for herself in the grindcore genre with guttural singing .
