The Watson Nunatak is a 1170 m high nunatak in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It rises in the Framnes Mountains between the Price Nunatak and the Van Hulssen Nunatak .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named him after Keith Douglas Watson (1935-1995), diesel engine mechanic at Mawson Station , who assisted a team to explore the Framnes Mountains as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1965 .
