Wave (spelling: WAVE ) is the third studio album by the Berlin rapper Ufo361 . It was released on August 9, 2019 on his label Stay High and is distributed by Groove Attack . The Cratez acted as executive producer of the album .
background
In July 2018, Ufo361 announced via Instagram that he would end his active music career after the album VVS . The reason is mainly his family. This was followed by a staging of his death, with a mock funeral also being part of it. At his final concert in Berlin's Columbiahalle on November 3, 2018, he sold T-shirts with gravestones and also declared on Instagram that the rapper Ufo361 had died.
In the meantime he announced that he would return under the new name KAISER.
On March 17, 2019, he released Pass auf wen du love as the first single on the album, thus ending his musical abstinence.

reception
The album received mixed reviews from critics. In his review, Mirco Leier from Laut.de found that the quality of the individual tracks fluctuated greatly. For example, he found the singles Richard Millie and Next to be solid, but criticized the fact that the second half of the album was littered with "embarrassments, fillers and sleeping pills."
Florian Peking from MZEE also rates the album as mixed. Wave does offer the "usual, suitable musical background", but the textual depth is lacking: "These lyrics can't really carry you away - generalities are dealt with too much."
