Gunna
Gunna (born June 14, 1993 in College Park , Georgia ; actually Sergio Kitchens ) is an American southern rapper.
biography
Sergio Kitchens grew up in College Park, in the greater Atlanta area . He started rapping as a teenager, but it wasn't until he met and befriended Young Thug in the mid-2010s that a serious music career emerged. He made his guest debut alongside Travis Scott and Gucci Mane on the track Floyd Mayweather , a minor R&B hit for Young Thug in 2016 . Young Thug signed him to his label YSL Records and his first mixtape Drip Season was released in the same year . But it took two more years until the third tape in the series, until the breakthrough finally came. Drip Season 3 brought him his first chart placement in February 2018. From then on it went up steeply. In October he released the mixtape Drip Harder with Lil Baby , which reached number 4 on the US album charts and was internationally successful. The song Drip Too Hard also came in fourth on the Hot 100 and received five platinum awards. Never Recover with Drake's participation went platinum and number 15 in the charts.
In February 2019 Gunna had finished his first own studio album. Drip or Drown 2 - the title follows on from an EP from 2017 - entered the US charts at number 3 after its release. Again it was an international success, it reached number 24 in the British charts and also made it into the charts in Switzerland and Austria. But not in Germany, where a guest post on On Time by the German rapper Ufo361 earned him a place for the first time.
