In June 2017, the album also received a limited vinyl edition. In 2015, however, Yung Hurn had declared that his music would always be available for free download. In 2017 the EP Love Hotel and the two singles Popo and Ok Cool were also released . In June of the same year, Yung Hurn announced on Twitter that he would no longer do rap after 2017. In December 2017, at the same time as the release of the single GGGut , he announced that he would publish a first album entitled 1220 in spring 2018 , which was officially released on May 4, 2018 and produced by DJ Stickle .

With the release of the single Cabrio , shortly before his appearance at the Donauinselfest 2019, he also announced his second studio album Y for the same year. He also announced in an interview with the radio station FM4 that he was working on an album with the Love Hotel Band. Y was published on November 8, 2019 and quickly met with some harsh criticism regarding the much more sexist language of the texts.

Style and Influences

Yung Hurns early music was soon journalists the original end of the 2000s in the United States resulting cloud rap assigned. In fact, he was inspired by the Californian rapper Lil B , who is often referred to as the founder of cloud rap, in addition to the horrorcore representatives and trap pioneers Three 6 Mafia for his first pieces . In a broadcast of the music magazine Tracks from the TV broadcaster Arte about him and the Cologne cloud rapper LGoony , Yung Hurn also said about his musical influences that he listened to indie as well as "deep dirty techno " and psychedelic rock . So had it for about Tame Impala or Falco , but especially the Beatles heavily influenced. He can also be seen on the show with a record by Jimi Hendrix .

Yung Hurn took a route beyond pure hip-hop with the Love Hotel EP, which was produced by DJ Stickle and announced during the video premiere of the associated R&B track Rot . On Valentine's Day was out of it also as a second track of the diamond have been published, an atypical for Yung Hurn retro - pop song without Rap parts. The video in the style of the 80s shows the song interpreted by the Love Hotel Band , which includes Yung Hurn and the Berlin actor Lars Eidinger . The band now also performs live. With Popo , Yung Hurn finally released a production in which he had also specifically participated. Dubbed by the critics as “a straight throwback house ”, it musically concretizes the rapper's multiple content-related flirting with the rave culture of the 90s, as in the techno- spoken word Coco Jambo by K. Ronaldo.
