Lex Lugner

Lex Lugner is a Austrian DJ and video - and music - producer of Taxham , Salzburg . He is part of the Berlin label and artist collective Live From Earth .

Life

Lex Lugner comes from the Taxham district in the north-west of Salzburg . As part of the Hanuschplatzflow collective, he produced for Crack Ignaz and Young Krillin , and since moving to Vienna also for the Viennese rapper Yung Hurn . Together with him he recorded the EP “Wiener Linien” in 2015 and met the founders of the Berlin artist collective Life From Earth while shooting the video for the single Nein . Yung Hurn and he subsequently joined this.

In 2016 he produced parts of the album Aurora by LGoony and Crack Ignaz , as well as parts of the "Genesis" EP by the German rapper RIN . He also produced the independent single "Bianco" published by Yung Hurn together with RIN , which was voted single of the year in the annual juice charts. He is also increasingly producing parts of her mixtape Nightliner for the German rapper Haiyti .

Lex Lugner appears both as a live DJ for Yung Hurn and as a solo DJ in clubs and at festivals.

Style and Influences

According to his own statements in an interview with the Austrian music magazine The Gap , he came into contact with hip-hop music for the first time at the age of eleven through Eminem's song The Real Slim Shady . At the age of 14 he developed a great enthusiasm for the American East Coast rap before he got to know Trap music at the age of 16 through his future Viennese roommate Ernst Palicek . Influences from house and techno music can also be found in his works.

Lex Lugner produces beats and tracks for other artists that can be assigned to Cloud Rap , which was originally created in the USA in the late 2000s , as well as his own house and techno mixtapes, with which he performs at festivals and clubs.
