Wayne D. Overholser

Wayne D. Overholser (born September 4, 1906 in Pomeroy , Washington , † August 27, 1996 in Boulder , Colorado ) was an American western writer .

Live and act

Overholser published his works not only under his own name, but also under the first names of his three sons, for whom he used the pseudonyms John S. Daniels , Dan J. Stevens and Joseph Wayne .

Several of his books have been made into films and most of them have also been translated into German and mostly published in the now classic Western series by Heyne Verlag , Munich. His best-known work in Germany is "Deputy im Kreuzfeuer" (The Lone Deputy), it was published by several publishers, e. B. at Xenos and in several editions over many years at Heyne. Overholser's numerous books are currently not published in Germany and are only available as antiquarian books.
