We Don't Need to Whisper is the debut album by the American alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves . It was released in 2006, a year after Blink-182 entered a hiatus. The album sold more than 800,000 copies and the first single, The Adventure , won the "Song of the Year 2006 Award" at the San Diego Awards.

The album is a concept album in which each song is about searching for and finding true love during wartime. The following album I-Empire can be viewed as a thematic continuation .

The songs on We Don't Need to Whisper were written during a Blink 182 tour in 2004. When DeLonge left Blink-182 in February 2005, he produced several demos of songs for the album. The album was produced in his home studio by DeLonge and his new band from 2005.

The album was sold in North America , Australia and the UK . It was given gold status in Canada after the album sold 50,000 copies within 3 days. The album also achieved silver status in the UK. Just through a huge wave of advance sales, the album sold around 126,000 times in the USA. In August, 550,000 albums were sold in the United States alone. The album sold over 800,000 copies worldwide.
