wean hean (Viennese for Vienna to hear ) is the name of a Wienerlied festival that has been taking place in Vienna since 2000 . It is next to real: Vienna is the largest festival of this genre. history
The first wean hean festival was held from October 2nd to 16th, 2000. They started with the youth campaign Ohne Wiat ka Musi (Viennese for Ohne Wirt no music ), which was intended to ensure that traditional live music is played again in inns. Another goal was to introduce the genre of Viennese folk music to young people in schools through the first interactive Wienerlied CD . Vienna's Mayor Michael Häupl , Schrammel musician Roland Neuwirth , the rap crew Illianz of Lykx and the Wiener Tschuschenkapelle performed , among others .
The following year the second festival took place between September 26th and October 14th. It all started with the Kraut und Ruam event at the Meiselmarkt . In the Sigmund Freud Museum on October 9, 2001, psychoanalysis was used to deal with the subject of Wienerlied and contemporary / social criticism.
