The Weeder Rock is a small, isolated and around 200 m high ledge on the Oates coast in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises around 10 km north-northwest of Mount Belolikov at the end of a structureless, ice-covered peninsula between the estuaries of the Rennick and Gannutz glaciers .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using the United States Navy's own surveys and aerial photographs from 1960 to 1964.The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the rock in 1970 after Courtland Craig Weeder (* 1943) of the US Navy, warehouse manager on the Amundsen -Scott South Pole Station in the Antarctic winter of 1965.
