Signpost in Köthener Straße in Quellendorf

The signpost in Köthener Straße in Quellendorf is a small monument in the city of Southern Anhalt in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt .

Several signposts have been preserved in the area around Quellendorf . One of these stones is in the southwest of the town at a fork in Köthener Straße (Landesstraße 136) right next to a current signpost pointing west to Storkau and Köthen. On the north side, arrows pointing to the right indicate the direction to Storkau and Cöthen on the stone . It is therefore the direct predecessor of today's shield. State road 136 was built shortly after 1830.

The old spelling of Köthen indicates that the signpost dates from the 19th century. This is not a classic distance stone , as the distance is missing. The listed signpost stone is entered in the monument register as a monument and signpost with registration number 094 70870.
