Wehingen (noble family)
The Lords of Wehingen were a noble Swabian knight family. In the Middle Ages, as vassals of the Hohenbergers , they ruled Wehingen. This included property in the valley of the lower Bära in today's communities of Gosheim , Wehingen , Egesheim and Reichenbach . Their ancestral seat was Wehingen Castle above today's Wehingen district of Harras, of which only remains have been preserved.
