Weiß is a district of the Upper Swabian community of Biessenhofen in the Ostallgäu district in Bavaria . The wasteland is two and a half kilometers south of Altdorf on the old road between Marktoberdorf and Kaufbeuren . The hamlet used to be called "Hart".

history

The origins of the hamlet lie in the relocation of the house Altdorf No. 20 at the time of the desertification during the famine years around 1811. To the north of the village in the Heidenstrangen corridor, old high fields can be seen that run east-west along the slope. A family name is assumed to be the origin of the settlement name; Hart is a common field name in the Allgäu.
