Weißenhof is a district of the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart, created in 2001 . Together with the ten districts Am Bismarck Tower, Am Pragfriedhof, Am Rosensteinpark, Auf der Prag , Heilbronner Straße, Killesberg , Lenzhalde, Mönchhalde, Nordbahnhof and Relenberg it forms the district of Stuttgart-Nord .
The Weißenhofsiedlung is located in the southwest of the district . The name Weißenhof is derived from a dairy farm founded by Georg Philipp Weiß (1741-1822).
The Kunstgewerbeschule (now the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart ) has also been located here since 1913 .
In 2006 the Weissenhof Museum was opened at Rathenaustraße 3 , with an apartment that was restored to its original condition from 1927.
The TC Weissenhof tennis club is located on Parlerstrasse , and the Mercedes Cup (formerly the International Weissenhof Tournament ) is held here every year in July .
