The Weichselbrücke at Kwidzyn is a road bridge connecting the national road 90 at Kwidzyn ( Marienwerder ) in the Polish Pomorskie on the Vistula leads.
The bridge, which was built from September 2009 to July 2013, stands 34.2 km below the Vistula bridge Grudziądz and 35.6 km above the Vistula bridge Knybawa near Tczew ( Dirschau ) and thus halves the longest bridgeless section of the Vistula until then, if one looks from the one between 1909 and the bridge between Marienwerder and Münsterwalde ( Opalenie ) that existed in 1928 .
The 808.4 m long Vistula Bridge near Kwidzyn is currently the longest extradosed bridge in Europe. Their pillar spacing is 70 + 130 + 204 + 204 + 130 + 70 m. There is also a western ramp bridge with a length of 1058.8 m, so that the bridge structure is 1867.2 m long.
The bridge is 15.9 m wide, divided into a 9.0 m wide carriageway (2 lanes of 3.5 m and 2 safety lanes of 1.0 m) and a 4.6 m wide strip for one on the northern side Sidewalk and bike path, the guardrails and the tension cables and on the other side a corresponding 2.3 m wide strip with a narrow inspection path .
The roadway girder is a continuous 3-cell prestressed concrete - hollow box with a constant height of 3.5 m. The 3 pairs of pylons that are sloping outwards protrude 17.2 m above the roadway. They are 3.0 m wide along the bridge. Across the bridge, its width decreases from 2.2 m at the roadway to 1.8 m at the top. 9 tensioning cables are anchored between the pylons and the roadway girder, making a total of 108 cables, which, like the side profile of the roadway girder, are bright red.
The middle pillar is protected from the impact of ships by ship deflectors .
