The vineyard is 474 m above sea level. NHN high, partly wooded local mountain Ramsberg in the area of the market town of Pleinfeld in the Middle Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen ( Bavaria ).
geography
location
The vineyard lies west of Pleinfeld and rises immediately south of the Great Bromb axis . Ramsberg lies along the northern and western slopes of the mountain. The Buxbach flows past south of the mountain ; the Gunzenhausen – Pleinfeld railway runs along the southern foot of the mountain. The Jakobus Chapel and a small observatory are located on the mountain. To the east the vineyard merges into the Schwarzleite .
Natural allocation
The vineyard belongs to the natural spatial main unit group Franconian Keuper-Lias-Land (No. 11), in the main unit Middle Franconian Basin (113) and in the sub-unit Southern Middle Franconian Plates (113.3) to the natural area of the southern foreland of the Spalter Hügelland (113.33).
