The Gerhard Markowitsch winery in Göttlesbrunn is an Austrian winery in the Carnuntum wine-growing region in Lower Austria .

The winery is managed by Gerhard Markowitsch. The company's own vineyards are 39 hectares (as of 2015), of which 75 percent are planted with red grape varieties , mainly Zweigelt , Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot and Pinot Noir . White grape varieties are Grüner Veltliner , Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc . In addition, grapes from contract growers from another 40 hectares are processed. The best-known wines are the Zweigelt Rubin Carnuntum , as well as the red Cuvées Rosenberg , Redmont and M1 . At least 50 percent Zweigelt - the leading variety of the wine-growing region - is used for each cuvée in order to "preserve the regional identity". The winery is regarded as the leading company for viticulture in the Carnuntum wine-growing region. The winery has won the Falstaff red wine award several times .
