The Weinsberg is 1041 m above sea level. A. the highest point in the Weinsberg Forest named after him , which lies in the border area between Waldviertel ( Lower Austria ) and Mühlviertel ( Upper Austria ).
The Weinsberg granite is named after him.
As early as 1388, a castle on the Weinsberg was mentioned as a castle stables . Remnants of walls are still partially visible on the plateau.
From the Weinsbergwiese on state road no. 82 northeast of the Weinsberg, a trail marked by several signposts leads up to the small summit plateau in about 10 minutes.
