Welt der Wunder is a popular science magazine published by the Bauer Media Group since 2005 .

The magazine covers subjects such as technology , nature , science , history and research that are simplified. The content is empty and the boundaries to pseudoscience are fluid. The sold circulation is 129,143 copies, an increase of 2.6 percent since 2006.

The magazine was already published once from March 1998 to January 2000 - a total of 22 issues with a double issue for October / November 1999. 119,000 copies of the first edition were sold. The magazine was initially published by the Deutsche Verlags-Anstalt . With the double edition there was a change of publisher to the Swiss publisher DeVision SA and its German subsidiary delta productions. A little later, however, the magazine was discontinued.

Special issues

In the special issue Welt der Wunder compact , a topic has been examined from various points of view in six issues every year since 2008. The compact series is expanded to include special dossiers such as annual reviews.

In June 2012, the special issue Welt der Wunder Youngster was published as a test . The special series has been published four times a year since April 2013 and is aimed at children and young people between the ages of 10 and 16.

SmartView

The free mobile app SmartView offers interactive extensions to the articles. The range of the app includes video contributions, 3D models, 360 ° panoramas and slideshows . With the app, readers can take part in a knowledge quiz and write letters to the editor in the app's forum.
