Velymtsche ( Ukrainian Велимче ; Russian Велимче Welimtsche , Polish Wielimcze ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Oblast Volyn with about 2800 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in 1500, used to be on the historic route from Kovel to Brest .
Velymtsche is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in the south of Ratne Rajon , to which the village Doschne ( Дошне , ⊙ ), on the lake of the same name, with about 40 inhabitants belongs.
On January 30, 2017, the village became the center of the newly founded rural community Velymtsche (Ukrainian Велимченська сільська громада / Velymtschenska silska hromada ). This also includes the 3 villages Datyn (Датинь), Doschne (Дошне) and Sapillja (Запілля), until then the village and the village of Doschne formed the district council of the same name .
The village is located on Lake Vinok ( Вінок, озеро ), 25 km southeast of the Ratne district center and 115 km north of the Lutsk Oblast center . In the village is the Velymtschenska Pokrovska Church ( Велимченська Покровська Церква ) built in 1661 .
