Wenelin Chubenow

Wenelin Chubenow ( Bulgarian Венелин Хубенов ; born April 19, 1959 in Varna ) is a former Bulgarian cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Chubenow was a participant in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow . There he finished 6th in the team time trial with the Bulgarian foursome .

In 1981 he won the 3rd stage of the International Peace Tour , in which he participated six times. His best placement in the tour was 8th in the overall classification in 1983 . In 1985 he was able to win another stage.

He won the Bulgarian road racing championship in 1981. In 1983 he was the winner of the domestic tour of Bulgaria and won a stage of the Tour de Bretagne . Hubenow was a member of the national team for several years and played almost all of the major country tours in Europe.
