Wense ( Low German Wens ) is a place in the municipality of Heeslingen in Lower Saxony with around 340 inhabitants. The districts of Bohnste, Sellhoop and Viehbrock belong to Wense. The Wenser Feldmark covers 1339 ha , of which around 250 ha are forest and moorland.

history

The area around Wense has been populated for thousands of years. In the district of Heeslingen the oldest finds go back to the Middle Stone Age (7000–4000 BC). These are flint tools such as scrapers, scrapers and blades. Large stone graves from the early Stone Age were destroyed.
