Foreman house of the Lübeck Katharinenkirche
The foreman house of the St. Katharinen Church in Lübeck is located at the north end of the church choir at Glockengießerstraße 2.

The property was first built in the 15th century. Behind the façade, still a Traufhaus of brick Gothic . The house is attached to the Katharinenkirche. Externally, the house was from 1750 to 1774, a Baroque facade with the final round dormer and the defining today rococo portal. The windows are still largely in their original condition and still have pre-industrial glazing. Behind the portal, the interior hallway also has Rococo stucco . The existing staircase in the house was also redesigned in the course of the remodeling in the 18th century. The building has been a listed building since 1967 and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lübeck Old Town .
use
The house was used as a residence for the respective foremen of the Katharinenkirche. Well-known foremen of the church were:
- Franz Brasser in the 16th century
- Zacharias Kniller (1659-1675)
The high reputation of the foremen is evident in the epitaph Knillers in the Katharinenkirche.
Today the house is used by a Russian Orthodox parish.
