Award "Tool and Mold Making Medal of Honor for Special Services to the Industry"

The magazine Werkzeug & Formenbau awards the award "Tool and mold making medal of honor for special services to the industry" every two years. The medal is awarded by an independent jury, which includes representatives from the associations VDWF, VDMA, VDW and the Aachen Tooling Academy (WBA) belong. The award is not intended to honor a completed life's work - rather, it is intended to be an incentive to continue doing good for the industry and, in particular, to be a role model and beacon for young people.

The prize was first awarded in 2015. The previous winners are:

  • 2015: Karl-Heinz Möller, publisher and editor-in-chief of the trade journal "Der Stahlformenbauer"
  • 2017: Willi Schmid and Margot Schenk, founding members of the VDWF
  • 2019: Prof. Fritz Klocke (engineer) , managing director of the Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart
