Werner Baumhauer

Werner Baumhauer , (* 12. November 1930 in Massenbachhausen , district of Heilbronn ) is a German politician of the CDU .

education and profession

Baumhauer first attended elementary school in Heilbronn . He then trained as a surveying technician . From 1948 to 1950 he attended secondary school in Heilbronn, where he graduated from high school. He then studied at the Technical University of Stuttgart , where he graduated with a degree in engineering. In 1958 he passed the associate exam. In 1966 he became head of the state surveying office in Heidenheim, where he was promoted to government surveying director in 1972.

Political activity

In 1972 he began his political career and became a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , of which he was a member until 1996.

After the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment was founded on July 1, 1987, Prime Minister Lothar Späth Baumhauer appointed State Secretary under Minister Erwin Vetter . Baumhauer initially remained State Secretary in the Ministry of the Environment in the first Erwin Teufel cabinet in 1991, but was then appointed State Secretary in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Finance in 1992 . In both cases he was a voting member of the state government of Baden-Württemberg . After the state elections in 1996, Baumhauer resigned from his political office and was therefore no longer available as a member of the state parliament.

Baumhauer is married and has two children.
