Live and act

After completing secondary school, Werner Eitle completed an apprenticeship as a state-recognized educator at the Catholic Technical School for Social Pedagogy in Stuttgart . During this time he was instrumental in founding the (still existing) active playground in Göppingen-Ursenwang . After compulsory military service (1981–1982) Werner Eitle majored in curative education at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences for Social Education in Freiburg im Breisgau . After that, he headed the Haus Dorothee children's home in Heidenheim an der Brenz for a few years , under the sponsorship of the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocesan charity association . He transformed the facility from a nursing home into a curative education home for children and young people .

In 1991 Werner Eitle went to the Dillingen Specialized Academy for Social Pedagogy of the Schulwerk of the Diocese of Augsburg as a specialist teacher for curative and home pedagogy as well as practical and methodical teaching . Since the 2003/2004 school year, the curative educator has been the deputy headmaster of the denominational training facility and still (since 1985) a lecturer at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Heidenheim (study area social affairs). In addition, he worked from 1991 to 2003 as an independent curative educator in his own practice. From 1992 to 1998 he was appointed to the "independent practices" committee by the professional association of curative educators. In addition, Werner Eitle was the first state spokesman for the independent practices in Baden-Württemberg from 1992 to 2000. In the 2010/2011 school year, Werner Eitle took over the management of the Dillingen Academy for Social Education. He is the first secular headmaster of this former monastic foundation.

From 2015 to June 2020 Werner Eitle was a volunteer member of the representative body (parish council) of the Catholic parish of St. Petrus and Paulus in Gerstetten. In this role he also got involved in the local kindergarten committee. Most recently, he co-organized and shared responsibility for the 2020 parish council elections in the Diocese of Rottenburg Stuttgart for the Catholic parish of Gerstetten.

Werner Eitle is the author of several specialist books and has written many articles for social / curative education journals, as well as several online articles (e.g.). His journalistic focus is on the field of curative education , which he defines as follows:

Curative education is a scientific discipline of education. In theory and in practice, it deals with people whose development takes place under difficult conditions ... In doing so, curative education makes use of other sciences. It is therefore primarily an eclectic discipline (using the ideas of others, choosing) ... As a therapeutic aid in many cases, curative education corresponds to the Greek meaning of the word therapy in the sense of accompanying someone (Eitle 2003, p. 8).

With his successful and competent publication Basic Knowledge of Curative Education , the author certainly did not want to replace other standard works of curative education - but to supplement it. That is why Werner Eitle deals very comprehensively with the specialist science of curative education; he refers to the neighboring disciplines of curative education, such as B. medicine, psychology, sociology, theology, neurosciences and law make a meaningful contribution and draws attention to the eclectic effects ... He deals critically but pragmatically with the job description, whereby he describes the diversity of the field of activity in the Identifies curative education as a real connoisseur of the scene (Lemke 2008, p. 34).

Werner Eitle, father of three children, is a member of the following associations: Bavarian Chamber of Psychotherapists , Professional and Professional Association for Heilpädagogik e. V. and International Froebel Society Germany .
