history

School yard and building B

The Hohen Neuendorf forest elementary school was founded in 1991. Until 2002 it was located at Waldstrasse 1b in Hohen Neuendorf. Due to its growth, the school building became too small at the end of the 1990s, so that a new school building was built on the neighboring property at Waldstrasse 3, to which the school moved in autumn 2002.

The strong growth of the school is mainly due to the influx of young families to Hohen Neuendorf after the reunification. Between 1991 and 2006 the city grew by 30% to 22,500 inhabitants.

In 2008 the forest school elementary school Hohen Neuendorf was renamed to forest elementary school Hohen Neuendorf .
