Werner Fuld

Werner Fuld (* 1947 in Heidelberg ) is a German author and literary critic .

Life

Werner Fuld studied literature and art history . He worked for many years as a literary critic for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Die Zeit, among others . As an author, he has published biographies , encyclopedias and two books with made-up anecdotes . In addition to Walter Benjamin's first biography (1979), he presented biographies of Wilhelm Raabe (1993) and Niccolò Paganini (2001). His book The Educational Lie (2004) also caused a stir . As editor, Fuld published, among other things, love letters from well-known personalities from world history. His books have been translated into numerous languages.

Werner Fuld lives in Spain and near Munich.
