Werner Gradwohl

Werner Gradwohl (born March 22, 1954 in Lindgraben , Kobersdorf municipality ) is an Austrian VHS teacher and politician ( ÖVP ). Gradwohl was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from 1987 to 2015 .

education and profession

Werner Gradwohl was born as the son of the carpenter Martin Gradwohl from Lindgraben. He attended elementary school in Lindgraben and the BG Mattersburg , where he graduated in 1972. He then studied history and geography at the University of Vienna and graduated in 1981 with the academic degree Mag. Phil. from. Gradwohl had already been teaching at the B-HAK and B-HASCH in Oberpullendorf from the 1978/79 school year and, after completing his studies in 1982, did his military service with the Austrian Armed Forces. In his job as a professor at B-HAK and B-HASCH, he is on leave.

politics

Gradwohl has been a councilor in Kobersdorf since 1982 and was vice mayor of the municipality from 1992 to 1997. Between 1983 and 1989 Gradwohl worked as regional chairman of the Young People's Party , in 1990 he was elected district party chairman of the ÖVP in the Oberpullendorf district, and in 2007 he handed this position over to Nikolaus Berlakovich . Gradwohl is also the deputy chairman of the Burgenland Garbage Association, a position he has held since 1997. After the municipal council election in 2007, which was successful for the ÖVP Burgenland , Werner Gradwohl was elected chairman of the Burgenland Municipal Academy in 2008.

The ÖVP has been representing in the Burgenland Landtag since October 30, 1987. The environmental and housing spokesman in the ÖVP Landtag Club was probably a good thing. After Oswald Klikovits moved to the National Council, Gradwohl took over its agendas in 2008 as area spokesman in the state parliament. He was division spokesman for housing, waste management, as well as environmental protection and energy.

Werner Gradwohl is married and has two children.
