criticism

The dtv atlas on the German language has been criticized by Dutch and Belgian linguists with regard to the representation of the Dutch language . They claimed that although the Dutch language was identified as a separate language, the line of sight was as if German were the source language from which Dutch had split off. Dutch and Flemish would also be presented as separate languages.
