Werner Kohn
Werner Kohn (born July 15, 1940 in Bamberg ) is a photographer , dialect author and director .
Life
Kohn did an apprenticeship as a photographer in Bamberg from 1958 to 1961. He then worked for the Keystone press agency in Munich. In 1966 and 1967 he studied at the Folkwang School in Essen. He has been working as a freelancer since 1968.
Kohn has participated in 677 exhibitions in 59 countries, including 148 solo exhibitions. His works were shown at World Press Photo, Photokina Cologne, Interpressfoto and at the Herten International Photo Days. He had group exhibitions a. a. with Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson 2003/2004 (Berlin - Moscow - Berlin).
The picture archive of the German Historical Museum (DHM) contains a bundle of Kohn's photos from the student movement in 1968.
