Werner L. Maier
Werner Lucas Maier (* 1966 in Bad Hersfeld ) is a former German football player and has been President of the Munich Cowboys since 2006 .
biography
Maier moved to Munich in 1981 , graduated from the Asam Gymnasium in Munich in 1987 and then studied law in Augsburg and Munich. Since moving to Munich he was active as a player, first in the youth team of the Munich Rangers, 1985 to 1995 in the Bundesliga team of the Munich Cowboys. As team captain , he represented the runner-up team from 1992 and the championship team that won the German Bowl in 1993 . He has been working as a lawyer in his own law firm since 1997 . As a part-time student, he worked as an editorial assistant for American football at various television stations and later also as a referee and speaker for Flag Football in Munich's university sport . He also organized various football events.
