Werner Meier (born September 2, 1943 in Zell , Canton Lucerne ) is a Swiss draftsman , painter , printmaker , object artist and sculptor .

Life

Werner Meier attended the Lucerne School of Applied Arts from 1961 to 1966 (today the University of Design ). In 1968 he continued his education at the State Art Academy in Düsseldorf and won the 1973/74 scholarship for the Istituto Svizzero Roma. From 1976 to 1987 he was director of the Lucerne drawing school. Werner Meier lives and works mainly in Lucerne, but since 1965 also in other cities and countries around the world for a total of 12 years.
