Werner Colonel

Werner Oberst (born October 14, 1891 in Halle (Saale) ; † unknown) was a German district administrator in Prussia.

Life

Oberst, son of the surgeon Maximilian Oberst , attended the Stadtgymnasium Halle and passed the school leaving examination there at Easter 1910. He then studied law. On February 1, 1933, he joined the NSDAP . After he had first become district administrator in the Merseburg district in 1933 , he became provisional district administrator in the Torgau district (1816–1952) in the Merseburg district of the province of Saxony and successor to Wilhelm Jung the following year . In 1935 he finally took over this office, which he held until 1938. He was followed by Hartmann Sommerlatte in office . From 1940 to 1943 he was district administrator in the district of Calau . Nothing is known about his further fate.
