Werner Schepp

Werner Schepp (born August 4, 1958 in Kirchen (Sieg) ) is a German church musician and university professor.

Life

From 1977 to 1982 Schepp studied Catholic church music at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf . He supplemented his training with postgraduate studies with Hans-Dieter Möller , which he completed with the concert exam. 1985 to 1991 he worked as a cantor at St. Michael in Duisburg . In 1991 he was appointed to the former monastery church St. Mariä Himmelfahrt in Mülheim an der Ruhr .

Since 1999 he has been teaching children's choir , organ building and organ studies at the Folkwang University . In 2007 he was appointed professor for choral conducting at Folkwang University , where he is also dean of Faculty 2. Werner Schepp has also worked as an organ expert for the diocese of Essen for several years since 1996.
