Werner Wilde (born October 31, 1933 ) is a former German soccer player. Between 1956 and 1965 he played for SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt and BSG Motor Zwickau in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football . With only one league use, he became GDR champions with SC Wismut.

Athletic career

Werner Wilde played his only league game for SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt at the age of 22 on April 22, 1956. On the 6th day of the 1956 season (calendar year season) he was in the away game at SC Rotation Leipzig (1: 1) as Defender used. With an own goal in the 51st minute, he made the final score. The SC Wismut finished the season as champions. It wasn't until two years later that Wilde appeared again in the league, now as a player in the company sports association (BSG) Motor Zwickau. Continuing to play as a defender, he has been used in the last ten league games. After he came back to only one league assignment in 1959, he was called up at irregular intervals in the 1960 season in twelve league games as a defender. In 1961, GDR football was changed back to the summer-spring game rhythm. In addition, 39 games were played in the Oberliga from March 1961 to June 1962. Wilde stepped in for the previous regular defender Joachim Seiler and thus made 31 league appearances. The 1962/63 season took place again with 26 rounds, but Wilde was only used in ten games in the first half of the season. So he also missed the final of the GDR soccer cup , which the Zwickau won 3-0 over SC Empor Rostock . In the seasons 1963/64 and 1964/65 Wilde was no longer part of the Zwickau players and was only used twice in league games. In 1963 he stood as a defender with Motor Zwickau in the first leg of the first round of the European Cup Winners' Cup , which Zwickau won 1-0 against MTK Budapest . In the lost second leg (0: 2) Wilde was no longer there. In the summer of 1965, Werner Wilde ended his career in high-class football. He had played 69 league games within eight seasons.
