The West American Lütkea ( Luetkea pectinata ) is the only species from the genus Luetkea in the rose family (Rosaceae).

The West American Lütkea is an evergreen, mat-forming subshrub that forms underground runners and reaches heights of up to 20 centimeters. The leaves are 1 to 2 inches long and stalked. The leaf blade is three-lobed. The leaf sections have 2 to 3 lanceolate lobes. The inflorescence is a raceme . The 5 sepals are erect or protruding. The 5 petals are colored white. There are 20 stamens.
Flowering time is from July to September.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.
Occurrence
The West American Lütkea occurs in western North America on moist, shady sand flats and rocks.
